Hi everyone! Besides writing about Austin food and drink, I help moderate a Facebook group called Austin Digital Jobs (ADJ.) It’s an awesome community headed up by Lani Rosales with over 8,000 active members. The gist of the group is helping folks find jobs in Austin tech, but the community has grown to much more than that over the years.
Twice a month for the foreseeable future I’ll be posting a roundup of Tech Events for the benefit of that group and other cool folks in Austin. I’ll be taking turns on this with Oliver Whitham, who will post on his blog http://inatx.co/ on weeks when it’s his turn. Since I love to eat and drink, I’ll also include a few food and spirits events once in a while. I think both the tech and food communities would be better off if they intersected more frequently!
If you’d like an event to be considered for this post, email the deets to austindigitaljobs@gmail.com with the subject “ADJ EVENTS” and they’ll be considered for Sunday’s events announcement. And if you’re not already part of the ADJ community, go ahead and request an invite. It’s a great group, and a perk of membership is seeing my fuzzy animal posts every Monday.
